My Daily Makeup

Hello again everybody, so todays blog post is going to be on my everyday makeup, this is the makeup I use on a day to day basis without fail, even for school!

I’ll be doing mini reviews on each product and later on if you guys want I’ll do a full review on your products of choice.

1.       So the first thing I do before I apply any of my makeup is use my moisturizer;

In my eyes you can’t go wrong with a Clinique moisturizer! This is the one I use, and although I don’t know if it does actually make a dramatic difference to your skin it keeps my skin moisturized and smooth and works as a nice base for my make-up.

2.       Next I prime my whole face, I double up my face primer as my eye primer, and I personally don’t see the point in buying two different primers!

I use the benefit ‘that gal’ brightening face primer, this works really well! It gives me a nice and fresh faced look if I wear it on its own but it also keeps my makeup on for a long time and works really well as an eyelid primer also! It’s definitely worth the money!!!

3.       So onto my actual makeup;

For my foundation I use the ever so raved about Maybelline dream matte mousse, I was pretty late in buying this but I can truly say I love it! Its light, smooth and very easy and quick to apply (I use my fingers to apply this, but I have experimented with using a foundation brush and a sponge before and that turns out fine too, it just takes a little longer), the only downside to this product is that it dries out my skin like crazy! But with a good moisturiser that’s not a huge problem.

4.       I then conceal any blemishes with my collection 2000 cover-up stick;

I didn’t have high expectations of this concealer, as it cost me roughly £2 (I will try and put the link to the products I have mentioned in this post at the end) I bought it as a cheap alternative to my usual concealer but ended up pretty much falling in love with it, it has good coverage with a wide range of shades and a very reasonable price, I blend this in with my finger.

5.       Next I set my foundation and my concealer with my powder;

I am a huge fan of powder, I love using it and this powered suits me just fine, I tend to use whatever powder I can find really but I like this one a lot and it matches my skin tone nicely, I just swirl a big fluffy brush around in it a couple of times and apply all over my face. I also like the fact this product comes with a mirror inside for on the go makeup application!!

6.       I then do my brows, I will be doing a blog post on how I do my brows so I am not going to go into great detail on this post.

7.       After I’ve done my brows I apply a lip balm to my lips, I should probably do this at the start of my makeup routine but unfortunately vie just gotten into the habit of doing it after vie done my brows;

I use any of these three lip balms, the first one is Prada and it smells DEVINE! The other two are molten brown; I have a tiny obsession over molten brown lip products because they literally cure my chapped lips in a day!

8.       Next I do my eyeliner which is a collection 2000 one;

Using an angled brush (not the brush that comes with this eyeliner) I do a very thin line along my lash line, I find gel eyeliner a really easy way to do a neat, straight line however to keep this product from smearing all over your eyelid you definitely need to use a reasonably good primer first (I learnt this fact the hard way!!)

9.       I then do my mascara, I have quite curly lashes so I tend not to need to curl mine before I do my mascara, but I do like to use a lot of mascara to make my lashes nice and long/thick. The mascara that I use is Mac opulash;

At first I wasn’t keen on this product at all, I got it as a gift for Christmas and kind of felt obliged to use it, and it has certainly grown on me! It adds length and thickness to your lashes but does not make them clumpy! It is a rather wet mascara (which I don’t tend to usually steer towards) so if that is something that puts you off a product then I wouldn’t recommend this one. I would also say that make sure you go to a store and test this out first, as everyone has different tastes in mascaras and it is more expensive than a lot of drugstore mascaras so I would definitely recommend doing research before buying this product (as with any high end products) so as you don’t waste your money.

10.   Lastly I do my lips, my everyday lip product is a Revlon Lip Butter in 005 sugar frosting;

Revlon lip butters are great, their so moisturizing and they look really pretty and casual! I am a fan of plum and red toned lip products, however this shade is great for during the day as it’s casual and quite sheer, it’s very easy to apply and I love it!

So there you go, there’s a list of all the products I use and a quick review of each one! Please let me know if you would like a more in depth review of a certain product.

Here are the links for the products I mentioned (excluding what I use on my brows, my eye shadow palette and my concealer)

20 (not very important) facts about me

Hello All,

As this is my first blog post I thought I’d post something a little personal to break the ice.

So upon thinking for some time over what I should do as my ever so exciting first blog post I decided to do “20 facts about me” considering most of you don’t know anything about me other than my name.

I must admit this started off as being ‘100 facts about me’ it was then shortened to ’50 facts about me’ and I have now decided that 20 facts is probably better suited for me, as I am a relatively boring person and I must admit, I am struggling to come up with 20 facts that you are going to be (fingers crossed) interested by, so here goes;

1. My middle name is Ann, my mum and both my grandmothers have this middle name also

2. I have been skiing since I could basically walk, and it’s my favourite sport ever

3. Ever since the 2012 Olympics I have deeply regretted quitting my gymnastics club when I was little

4. I have a fish named bits-of-maronee, yes that right bits of maronee (it’s said how its spelt) my brother is an inventive one.

5. When I first started wearing foundation (around the age of 12) I hid it from my mum because she didn’t let me wear it without mixing it with moisturizer first.

6. I am most definitely 100% a cat person

7. Spiders are my biggest fear.

8. I never listen to songs the whole way through, as I get bored and I decide I want to listen to another, more interesting song!

9. Both me and my mum are secret twi-hards…#teamedward (please don’t judge me, I’m just being honest)

10. I get really annoyed when people call converse “converses”

11. I think all Pauls boutique blazers should be destroyed, sorry if you own one, but they are awful!

12. I want to be a journalist when I’m older (that is part of the reason I am starting this blog)

13. My favourite shop is Topshop, however I am a massive cheapo and Primark Is basically my heaven.

14. YouTubers are basically the reason I don’t have a social life.

15. I eat like a complete pig and then later regret it whilst I’m feeling like a whale.

16.My weakness in life is cheesecake

17. I am a professional procrastinator, don’t doubt me, I can think of a million things to do other than my homework.

18. I could sleep for days.

19. Crispy M&M’s are the best things invented hands down no contest!!

20. A door can have a push sign on it but I will still always pull it before I push, and vice versa.

So there you go, 20 pointless, random things about me that you probably don’t care about.

So on that note I’d like to apologise for wasting valuable time out of your life, and say thanks for reading!
